One of the best ways to tell that a product and company is doing well is whether or not they are growing. And, for James Hardie Fiber Cement siding it is safe to say that they are growing! Although not in Massachusetts, James Hardie is opening a $220 million Alabama building products plant. Biz Journals & Made In Alabama both reported the story after James Hardie announced its new home last week.
The company which already has 3,200 employees around the world will be adding around 205 with this latest investment. Over a year ago, James Hardie started looking for a place to build a plant for the Eastern & Southern U.S. markets. After extensive research Prattville, Alabama was selected. What helped set Prattville above from the other locations is that it has a skilled workforce, a close proximity to key resources and availability to key markets.
James Hardie Fiber Cement is taking the country by storm one house at a time. Learn more about this product in a recent post about James Hardie Siding FAQ’s.
